Why you won't see pictures on my Front Page.
If you're one of my dedicated readers (I don't have any, but let's assume I did), then you'll notice that unlike most Stumbleupon pages, I don't have any pictures except for my display picture. There is a reason for this.
Way back in the day, people had this thing called "Dial-Up". Due to the fact that I am someone who frequently used this mystical "Dial-Up" for most of my life, I remember the slow, annoying pages full of pictures that lagged my connection into 56k hell. I learned very quickly that loading your website full of flash, animated .gifs, and happy pictures is a way to annoy people.
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but my reviews rarely breach one hundred. So, you will see, at most, one or two pictures on my front page, and that is it. Most likely, you won't see any.
That is all.
